Are you a South-Asian parent trying to understand your teenager in a world that’s vastly different from the one you grew up in?
Do you feel overwhelmed by the clash of cultures, safety concerns, or the communication gap that keeps growing?
Join us for a transformative workshop designed specifically for South-Asian families, where we dive into the unique challenges and beautiful opportunities of parenting in a multicultural world.
In the last 5 years, teen anxiety and depression have grown multifold. There are multiple factors impacting the mental and physical health of teenagers. As a parent, you can feel overwhelmed and confused about the direction you could take to ensure the safety and positive development of your teen. Being an immigrant parent adds a layer of complexity to the existing challenges. How many times have you said," Why don't you listen?". And got "You don't get it!" in response from your teen? You are not alone.
This transformative workshop aims at bridging the communication and understanding gap between South-Asian parents and their teenagers, providing tools for mindful parenting to foster mutually respectful, long-lasting relationships while addressing the cultural divide, differences in world-view, and safety concerns.
You will get a chance to connect with other parents, learn practical tools, and engage in enriching and meaningful dialogue to reduce parental stress. You will walk away feeling empowered to successfully navigate parenting concerns and build a long-lasting, fulfilling relationship with your child.
